Experience
I have taught Intermediate Macroeconomics (3204) (Fall 2022, Spring 2024) and Principles of Macroeconomics (2006) (Summer 24, Fall 24), and am familiar with both in-person and online modes of instruction. I have also served as a teaching assistant for various courses, including Intermediate Microeconomics (3104), Money and Price Level (5015) and Economic History (1214). In the summers of 2022 and 2023, I mentored 2-3 undergraduate students in the basics of data science. Together, we successfully delivered projects to stakeholders as part of the Data Science for the Public Good Program at Virginia Tech.
Philosophy
I strongly believe that teaching is one of the best ways to learn and that imparting knowledge is one of the greatest services we can offer. As an Economics educator, my teaching philosophy centers on the conviction that I am chiefly responsible for my students’ learning outcomes. I emphasize critical thinking and active learning in my classroom, consistently integrating real-life examples to bridge theory and practical application. This approach ensures that students not only understand economic concepts but also can apply them effectively to real-world problems.
