Hello, and welcome! My name is Nandini Das, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at Virginia Tech. My research is primarily in the areas of applied microeconomics, development and agricultural economics. Alongside my research, I care deeply about teaching that helps students think critically and see the relevance of economics in everyday life.

Originally from Kolkata, India, I moved to Blacksburg in 2020 amidst the peak of the pandemic in 2020. I share my home with two beloved cats, Umika and Helena.
